ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

LVR-Industriemuseum

The Landschaftsverband Rheinland (LVR) aspires to make its Web pages accessible to all. They should be designed in such a way that they are consistent with the national legislation relating to the implementation of standard procedure (EU) 2016/2102 issued by the European Parliament. The following Accessibility Statement applies for the Web page LVR-Industriemuseum with its subchapters.

Status of Compliance of the Web page with the requirements for accessible information technology

Status of Compliance of the Web page with the requirements for accessible information technology

Non-accessible content

We are currently working to improve the accessibility of the Web pages of Landschaftsverband Rheinland. We much appreciate your being patient as the Landschaftsverband Rheinland with its schools, clinics, museums, cultural institutions, remedial facility networks, youth welfare facilities and the State Youth Welfare Service operates a large number of Web pages which require optimisation in respect of accessibility as well as changes in the programming. At the time that the pages were compiled the topic of accessibility was not yet developed to the extent it is today. We are making every effort to remove the barriers as soon as possible.

In particular the following deficits exist:

  • Some of the HTML structure elements do not take account of any hierarchical sequence, for example there are irregularities in the heading hierarchies.
  • There are no alternative texts for control elements.
  • In the case of the video player, the ARIA display for volume control is missing, in practical terms the button “Volume Control” has not been allocated its role correctly.
  • Missing alternative text for the thumbnail of the video player.
  • Not all PDFs on the Web page are accessible.
