Carnival Closure:
Weiberfastnacht (2/16/2023) through and including Carnival Tuesday (2/21/2023).
Closing dates:
All venues of the LVR Industrial Museum will be closed from 12/23/2023 to 1/1/2024 inclusive.
Normal entrance fee: 5,50 €, reduced 4,50 € (Students, severely disabled persons, unemployed persons upon presentation of a welfare card or other official document), groups from 10 persons 4 € per person
Children and adolescents (up to 18 years of age): Entrance free
School classes (with up to 2 accompanying persons): Entrance free
Entrance free day for everyone: 1st Friday in the month
Free admission for refugees
Refugees have free admission to the museums of the Landschaftsverband Rheinland. In this way, the LVR would like to help refugees learn about the history and culture of the Rhineland.
For free admission, an official certificate must be presented. Admission is also free for accompanying persons who care for refugees. (max. 2 persons per group)
With the LVR Museum card, you have free admission to the museums of the LVR and LWL for one year from the date of purchase.

Prices for guided tours (up to 25 persons):
Normal guided tour for adults: 50 €
Normal guided tour for groups of children and school classes: 40 €
Guided tours in foreign languages (English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Turkish: 60 €
Guided tours outside the normal opening hours: 50 € plus 17.50 € per hour
Separate entrance fees apply for temporary exhibitions and events. Please consult the website relating to the respective temporary exhibitions or our event calendar.
Tickets for the Gesenkschmiede Hendrichs (Drop Forge) can be purchased at the site or in advance from our Ticketshop.
Once a week Gesenkschmiede Hendrichs (Drop Forge) offers a grinding and repair service for knives and scissors of all types. More details can be obtained from the museum reception under Tel. 0212 2324119.
We are happy to loan you an audio-guide which will accompany you through the various stations of the exhibition.
