All venues of the LVR Industrial Museum are closed on Good Friday (29 March 2024) and Easter Monday (1 April 2024). Open on Saturday (30 March 2024) and Easter Sunday (31 March 2024).

Tickets for the museums can be purchased on the site or in advance from our Webshop.


The following entrance fee arrangements apply for the permanent exhibitions at the LVR-Industriemuseum sites.

Separate entrance fees apply for temporary exhibitions and special events.

Oberhausen: Zinkfabrik Altenberg (Zinc Factory)

The permanent exhibition "Schwerindustrie" (Heavy Industry) is closed due to refurbishment work.


Oberhausen: Peter-Behrens-Bau

Permanent exhibition „Peter Behrens - Art and Technology“


Regular admission: 5,50€, reduced 4€ (students, severely disabled, unemployed people upon presentation of a social pass or other official proof)
For special exhibitions the combined ticket is valid at the price of 6,50€, reduced 5,50€.

Refugees have free admission to the museums of the Landschaftsverband Rheinland. In this way, the LVR would like to help refugees learn about the history and culture of the Rhineland.
For free admission, an official certificate must be presented. Admission is also free for accompanying persons who care for refugees. (max. 2 persons per group)


With the LVR Museum card, you have free admission to the museums of the LVR and LWL for one year from the date of purchase.
